Bokashi Cycle's industry compliant and approved equipment and protocol systems are the most effective, innovative, and sustainable solution to organic waste disposal in the marijuana industry.
Dispensaries are not allowed to place waste materials in public trash containers because regulatory agencies want to be certain that the waste materials are not left unattended or available in dumpsters or containers that could be opened off site. Dispensary or grower waste must be rendered unusable before it leaves the facility, and then it must be transported to a properly licensed facility for composting. However, there are few approved available sites for composting, and every step in this process is expensive and time consuming.
A secure chain of custody must be established for the transporting of waste from its on-site location to the approved composting site. Accurate account records are required to establish that the mass of material leaving the facility is identical to the mass of material accepted at the composting site. All of these measures add significantly to the cost of doing business, and make handling marijuana waste less efficient, especially if off-site waste disposal is implemented.
There is a better way to handle the waste, because it has value. Using bokashi fermentation on the waste on-site solves the problem for dispensaries, distributors, processors and growers. This process can accommodate any size operation. Waste is degraded and rendered useless in as little as 10 days, and the bio pulp produced can be recycled in soil maintained on the premises.
Bokashi Cycle’s granulating machine was specifically designed to safely handle and contain granulated marijuana waste, including root balls. Granulated waste may be mixed with inert substrates or more efficiently fermented meeting disposal requirements with an approved protocol. Recycling fermented end products into the grow operation can result in dramatic reductions in nutrient waste and improved plant performance.

How it Works?
Bokashi fermentation harnesses the power of microorganisms to break down organic waste, without using oxygen, in just two weeks time.
Bokashi fermentation is anaerobic, meaning it excludes oxygen, which reduces greenhouse gas and smell production.
Bokashi fermentation taps into the thriving ecosystem of microorganisms to ferment organic waste.
You can turn organic waste into productive soil nutrients in just two weeks time, with little manual effort required.
